What do you wish you had done at university that would have assisted you more in your job today?
I wish I had paid more attention to my studies when I was still a student; surely my results would be better than they are at the moment. Right now, looking back, I should have added robotics and coding or IT as third major – there are a lot of opportunities for those subjects in the real world.
What top three tips do you have for students and graduates entering job hunting season now?
#1 Trust God – everything happens for a reason. God put you where you are right now for a reason and only He knows why you are there. Trust the process.
#2 Patience – it is going to be difficult to get employed with the country's high unemployment rate – from failing interviews to feeling stagnant – but if you are patient, you will get employed and things will change. A lot is happening out here, but there is light as long as you are patient within the process.
#3 Do not give up – NEVER GIVE UP!
