What top three tips do you have for students and graduates entering job hunting season now?

  • Job applications: Send as many applications as you can to different companies around the world, even those you think you might not qualify for. You should also build relationships and stay informed about job opportunities.
  • Interview preparation: Research the company, practise your responses to common interview questions, and prepare any materials you may need, such as a PowerPoint presentation if you are required to present a lesson. And most importantly, use opportunities that the university provides, such as Career Services.
  • Tailor your application materials: Customise your CV and cover letter to each job application, highlighting the skills and experiences that align with the job requirements and employer needs.
